Gadsden State announces Spring 2025 graduates

 

GADSDEN, AL – Gadsden State Community College’s Spring Commencement Ceremony was held on May 13 at the Richard Lindsey Arena at Gadsden State Cherokee. The event recognized students who completed program requirements following the Spring semester.

Featured commencement speakers were Gadsden State students Daniel Brown, Ashley Hawk and Kristina O’Neal.

Mr. Daniel Brown
Brown received an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and an Associate of Science in General Studies. Mr. Brown has served as a tutor with the Cardinal Tutoring Center and is a proud member of Veterans Upward Bound, Phi Theta Kappa, and the Student Nursing Association. After graduation, he plans to work as a registered nurse in UAB’s Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and will continue studying to complete his Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Mrs. Ashley Hawk
Hawk, a native of West Palm Beach, Florida, has previously received an Associate of Applied Science in Office Administration Medical Coding and Scribing and added the Short-Term Certificate for Word Processing Specialist. Ms. Hawk is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Student Support Services. After graduation she plans to continue at Gadsden State for health information technology.

Ms. Kristina O’Neal
Ms. O’Neal, of Centre, received her Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing. Ms. O’Neal is a member of the Student Nursing Association, Cardinal Tutoring, and Student Support Services. After graduation she plans to work in the emergency department at Regional Medical Center.
