In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Richard Neese, age 40 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Matthew Lipham, age 51 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, smokeable hemp possession sell, certain persons forbidden to carry a firearm, and 2nd degree receiving stolen property.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 86 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
