Cooler temperatures are in the forecast for the state of Alabama, starting today/Wednesday and especially on Thursday – and they are expected to last into the weekend. By this weekend, parts of north Alabama could very well dip into the low 50’s for overnight lows. There’s one warmer day to get through first BUT for a change there are no 90’s in the forecast. The National Weather Service is forecasting high temperatures, to AGAIN climb into the upper 80’s across Alabama.
Look for even “cooler” temperatures across the south – and also for parts of central Alabama on Thursday – when rain and clouds will help to keep the mercury lower. Highs this Thursday could touch 90 degrees in north Alabama, which is expected to miss out on the rain – south Alabama and the southern parts of central Alabama – could possibly not make it out of the 70’s.
Cooler temperatures (in the 70’s and into the 80’s) are expected to “hang around” through the weekend before beginning to rise again next week.
The nights will also be much cooler with the coolest expected to come on late Saturday and Sunday – as select spots in north Alabama – get close to the 40’s for lows.
