Gaylesville’s Dobbins delivers game-winning trey in area basketball win at Coosa Christian

GADSDEN – Daylen Dobbins delivered the game-winning 3-pointer with 25 seconds remaining, lifting the Gaylesville Trojans to a 50-49 area boys basketball win at Coosa Christian on Friday night.

It was Dobbins’ fourth trey of the game. He finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Kyler Bradley led the Trojans with 16 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Kuper Bradley connected on three 3-pointers and had nine points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals. Caden Angle contributed six points and 15 rebounds. Collin Hendon finished with five points, six boards, two assists, two steals and a block.

Kylen Johnson topped the Conquerors with 13 points, including three 3-pointers.

The game was tight throughout. The Trojans held a 15-13 advantage at the end of the first quarter and a 29-27 edge at halftime. The two teams were tied at 37 heading into the fourth quarter.
