A 19 year old Gadsden man has been arrested for his role in a shooting incident which took place in early October.

On October 11th, Erica Buchanan reported to police that she had been walking with a friend near the intersection of Robin Hood Road and Barron Avenue at around 9:15 that night, when she was shot in the left thigh – with the bullet coming from a passing car.

She was taken to Gadsden Regional for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Following an investigation into the matter – detectives arrested Luis Adam Rivera, in connection with the incident – charging him with Assault 1st Degree

When filing the report, Buchanan told police that Rivera was her boyfriend.
