A law to keep drivers off of their phones has helped to prevent hundreds of crashes and injuries in Alabama over the last year; that’s according to the findings of one recent study BUT experts say there’s more to be done in the battle against distracted driving.
According to a report entitled “the Roadmap for Safer Roads” achieving a zero traffic death result – and ensuring everyone arrives safely at chosen destinations – is possible BUT ONLY if we solve the problem of distracted driving; it all starts with each and every driver making a concerted effort to be 100% focused on the activity of driving, and contrary to what some may believe – driving is a complex task that requires that person’s FULL attention.”
