CALHOUN COUNTY– The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office has promoted Cody Davis to the rank of lieutenant following 15 years in public safety.
Davis began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 2011 as a member of the Corrections Division.
Since then, he has served in specialized roles with the SWAT team and as a K-9 handler. He has also completed numerous training programs involving jail operations.
Additionally, Davis is a graduate of Boaz High School and holds a bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University.
Davis described his work in corrections as a rewarding career. Although the work presents challenges, he said it remains meaningful to him.
The Sheriff’s Office recognized Davis for his service while announcing his promotion.
