A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:35am Sunday, July 28th, claimed the life of a Chipley, Florida man, here in Cherokee County.
Paul E. Coker, age 49, was fatally injured when the 2009 Suzuki VS800 motorcycle that he was operating left the roadway, then struck several trees. Coker was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 278, approximately six miles west of Piedmont, in Cherokee County.
Nothing additional has been released, as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
