Rome PD Seeks Help in Notifying Next of Kin
The Rome Police Department has identified the pedestrian who died following Tuesday morning’s crash on Shorter Avenue as Sandra Lee Fincher, 70, of Rome.
At the request of the Floyd County Coroner’s Office, the Rome Police Department is asking for assistance in locating Ms. Fincher’s next of kin.

The crash occurred just before 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, in the 1900 block of Shorter Avenue and involved a white passenger car and Ms. Fincher, who was a pedestrian.
The crash remains under investigation by the Rome Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team.
