At the September 22nd Centre City Council work session, Parks and Recreation director Brock Coogler reported to the assembly. The water aerobics class that the department had recently offered was a success. Coogler stated that he’d like to build upon that success by starting a senior wellness program. The director stated that the person who helped with water aerobics is willing to help.
When asked if there was a specific age at which people could start in the program, the director stated that he’d not going to set an age. He wouldn’t turn away people that think they’d benefit from such a program.
Coogler asked the council for $1,500 for the new exercise balls, resistance bands, and the like. In the meeting council members approved his request.
