Ms. Etta Ruth Tucker, age 96 of Sand Rock, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Cherokee County Health & Rehab.

A funeral service will be held 1PM Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chad Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12PM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will include Eric Tucker, Carey Tucker, Scottie Tucker, Christopher Tucker, Keith Wallace and Mark Wallace.

Survivors include sons, Donald (Lydia) Tucker and Steve (Cheryl) Tucker; daughter, Blanche (Andy) Baker; grandchildren, Christopher Tucker, Vickie Heflin, Susan Card, Carey Tucker, Suzanne Parris, Scottie Tucker, Eric Tucker and Lexy Cooner; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews also remain.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Howell Conway Tucker; son, Duell Howell Tucker; brothers, Jerry Stokes, Billy Stokes and Junior Stokes; sisters, Nellie Sue Wallace and Ruby Lee Stokes.

Ms. Tucker was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County, was the daughter of the late L. Fayette and Effie Bell Stokes and she was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Cherokee County Health & Rehab and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.

In lieu of flowers or food, the family requests donations be made to Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
