In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the Past 24 Hours:
DRAKE KIRKLAND, age 31 from Fort Payne was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Failure to Appear on a previous charge of Running a Red Light;
MARTY COBB, age 53 of Centre arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance along with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and also with Failure to Appear/Comply/Pay – six counts;
KYLE MCMICHEN, age 51 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with Failure to Appear/Driving While Revoked (two counts) and Failure to Appear/Speed Less than 25 MPH – and also – Failure to Appear/Switched Tag;
BENJAMIN ANDERSON, age 29 of Ohatchee, was arrested by Centre Police and charged with Failure to Appear on previous charges of Driving While Suspended – No Plainly Visible Tag – and an Insurance Violation;
JERRY STANCIL, age 36 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by Centre Police, and charged with Public Intoxication;
And
JAY HUNTER, age 18 of Centre, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – on charges of – the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (two counts), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and also the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Currently, there are a total of 88 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
