According to a City of Gadsden social media alert, an ammonia leak was reported and contained this morning, July 22nd, at the Tyson Foods plant (formerly Keystone) on Steele Station Road.
The Gadsden Fire Department responded to the scene and has been conducting on-site evaluations. City transportation vehicles were working to move employees off-site to Church of the Highlands, and the Gadsden Police Department directed traffic in the area.
