LEESBURG– The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office will host two Glock training courses in October. Both law enforcement officers and civilians may attend.
The courses will take place at the CCSO Training Center at 1025 Bristow Gap Road in Leesburg. Each class runs from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Glock Armorer Course
First, the Glock Armorer Course begins Tuesday, October 27. Instructors will cover the inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of Glock pistols.
During the course, participants will also learn about repairs and parts replacement. The training follows Glock factory standards.
Glock MOS Operator Course
Next, the two-day Glock MOS Operator Course will take place Wednesday and Thursday, October 28 and 29. Instructors will focus on the safe operation of Glock Modular Optic System pistols.
In addition, participants will receive training in optic installation and zero confirmation. The course also covers maintenance and performance optimization.
Both courses offer professional Glock instruction close to home. However, available spaces may fill quickly.
Therefore, interested participants should register and pay through Glock Training.
