Calhoun County Man Charged After Bringing Contraband Into The Jail Taped To His Body

On Friday, Calhoun County Investigators arrested Kelvin Adams as he came to serve one of his 26 weekends imposed by the court for a previous charge.

As Adams entered the jail, he attempted to bring suboxone, methamphetamine, and tobacco into the county jail.

Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew said Adams was charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband. Adams has the contraband taped to his body.

Investigative tools were used to locate the contraband, one of which is a new body scanner just installed last week.
