The former owner of Walker Orthopedics in Rome, has been found guilty on five criminal counts and will spend more than 20 years behind bars for molesting a young girl.

Lance Walker was found guilty Thursday in Floyd County Superior Court, in a trial which lasted only a few hours.

During the trial prosecutors presented a taped interview between Walker and Police Investigators in which, Walker admitted to having several incidents of sexual contact with the victim, who was under the age of 14 at that time.

The sentence calls for 25 years in prison with a requirement to serve 90% of that time which will equal 22 years and six months based on his conviction for Aggravated Child Molestation.

The convictions on the other four counts will run concurrently.

Judge J. Bryant Durham also placed Walker under probation for the remainder of his life and has ordered him to permanently register as a sex offender.
