Ms. Willodean Hale, age 97, of Trussville, formerly of Cherokee County, passed away on October 2, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 2 PM in the chapel at Perry Funeral Home with Brother Brian Keith officiating.  Family and friends are invited to visit from 12 PM to 2 PM. Burial to follow service Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Willodean is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Mickey) Helms; grandchildren Krista (Nilay) Shah and Kandice (Joe) Amos; and great-grandchildren Liam Shah, Mila Shah, and Joseph James Amos. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

The family extends special thanks to the employees of Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary Linda Ann Payne; her husband, James Warren; and numerous siblings.

Willodean will be remembered for her loving spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.
