A two-vehicle wreck occurred on West Main Street in Centre at 11:55am on Saturday, with one person being hurt in the mishap.

That collision, which occurred near the Dollar General Store, involved a 2022 Chevy Silverado driven by a female resident of Cedar Bluff and a 2007 GMC Sierra driven by a female resident of Gadsden.  The driver of the Silverado escaped injury; however, the driver of the GMC was taken by ambulance to Floyd Cherokee Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries

Those responding to the scene included Centre Police and Fire units along with Floyd EMS; that accident remains under investigation by the Centre Police Department.
