A crackdown on prostitution in Gadsden has netted several arrests.
From April the 29th through May the 3rd, the Gadsden Police Department’s Special Projects Team, with assistance from the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, conducted “Operation Stroll.”
The undercover detail targeted prostitution and the solicitation of prostitution within the city of Gadsden.
The SPT unit operated in various areas of the city and the detail resulted in thirteen arrests, eleven of which were for soliciting prostitution and the other two for prostitution.
