The investigation into the apparent murder of a Trion man in Cherokee County is continuing.
According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators have been busy traveling between Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee interviewing persons acquainted with suspected murder victim 52-year old Vincent Edward Hughes.
Hughes’ body was discovered during the early morning hours of April 2nd at a residence on County Road 103.
Several persons of interest have been detained and are being interviewed.
