Cherokee County Women’s Self-Defense Training Offered Free

Cherokee County women’s self-defense training hosted by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Oct. 5–7 in Leesburg

 

LEESBURG– The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office will host Cherokee County women’s self-defense training Oct. 5–7 in Leesburg.

R.A.D. Training will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening. The CCSO Training Center at 1025 Bristow Gap Road will host the three-day course.

Participants must attend all three sessions.

Instructors will teach practical ways to recognize, avoid, and respond to dangerous situations. The hands-on exercises will cover personal safety, defensive techniques, and confidence-building skills.

No previous self-defense experience is necessary.

Women ages 18 and older may register. Girls ages 15–17 may also attend with a female guardian.

The sheriff’s office will offer the course at no cost. However, limited class space makes early registration important.
