LEESBURG– The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office will host Cherokee County women’s self-defense training Oct. 5–7 in Leesburg.
R.A.D. Training will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening. The CCSO Training Center at 1025 Bristow Gap Road will host the three-day course.
Participants must attend all three sessions.
Instructors will teach practical ways to recognize, avoid, and respond to dangerous situations. The hands-on exercises will cover personal safety, defensive techniques, and confidence-building skills.
No previous self-defense experience is necessary.
Women ages 18 and older may register. Girls ages 15–17 may also attend with a female guardian.
The sheriff’s office will offer the course at no cost. However, limited class space makes early registration important.
To register, email mfarrell@cherokeecountyalsheriff.com.
