Second Suspect Arrested in Edwards Grocery Burglary Case

Jacksonville, AL — The Jacksonville Police Department has secured the arrest of a second suspect in connection with the burglary at Edwards Grocery and subsequent high-speed pursuit that occurred in late March.

Antonio Miguel Hooper 27 of Bessemer, is currently in the Calhoun County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond. Hooper is charged with Burglary 3rd.

This arrest follows the earlier apprehension of another suspect tied to the incident. The case remains an active and ongoing investigation.

“This marks another important step in holding those responsible accountable,” said Jacksonville Police Chief Marcus Wood. “Our investigators continue working diligently, and we remain committed to identifying and apprehending all individuals involved.”
