Cherokee County E911 Spotlights Dispatcher Misty Mobbs During Telecommunicators Week

CENTRE — Cherokee County E911 and the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency are recognizing members of their communications team as part of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week by highlighting the work of local 911 dispatchers.

As part of the recognition, officials are spotlighting Misty Mobbs, who has served Cherokee County as a 911 dispatcher for eight years. Mobbs will celebrate her service anniversary on April 23.

Mobbs brings a strong background in public service and healthcare to her role. She holds an associate’s degree in Office Administration and has previous experience as a pharmacy technician. She has also worked in municipal government and pursued nursing studies, experiences that have helped shape her career in emergency communications.

Officials say dispatchers like Mobbs play a critical role in coordinating emergency response and assisting residents during times of crisis.

Outside of her work in public safety, Mobbs enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and exploring the outdoors. She is also the mother of two children, one of whom is married and living independently.

Cherokee County E911 officials expressed appreciation for Mobbs’ dedication and professionalism in serving the citizens of Cherokee County.
