In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Joyce Rickett, age 64 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Wendy Barnes, age 55 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 3rd degree assault.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 79 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
