18-Wheeler Jackknifes on Highway 411 North Near Centre

CENTRE, Ala.– A jackknifed 18-wheeler caused traffic delays Tuesday afternoon on Highway 411 North between Centre and Leesburg, near the entrance to TMC Graphics and Signs.

The crash occurred around 12:50 p.m. The right lane was blocked, while the left lane remained open to traffic.

The driver was able to exit the vehicle and was not trapped.

Emergency responders on scene included Centre Fire and Rescue, Cherokee County EMS, Atrium Floyd EMS, Centre Police Department, and the Alabama State Troopers.

The truck involved was identified as a 2023 Mack owned and operated by White Oak Transportation of Decatur.

Drivers traveling through the area were advised to use caution and expect possible delays as crews worked the scene.
