In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

SHERRY WALKER, age 61 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Harassment and Resisting Arrest;

BRITTANY PHILPOT, age 37 from Carrollton, Georgia was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with one count of Domestic Violence 3rd Degree;

NATHAN ALFORD, age 20 of Piedmont – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and he was charged with ten counts of the Possession of Child Pornography;

JEROMY ALFORD, age 46 of Rome, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Escape 2nd Degree and also the charge of Community Correction AWOL/Away Without On Leave);

And

JOSHUA LOTT, age 20 of Gaylesville was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and is On Hold for Another Agency.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 105 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
