In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

JESSE LONG, age 40 of Leesburg was arrested by Centre Police on charges of Failure to Appear on prior charges of Domestic Violence 3rd Degree;

WILLIAM FURR, 75 of Centre – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with DUI/Driving Under the Influence;

CARL CRABTREE, age 39 from Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and charged with Domestic Violence 3rd Degree, and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree;

And

JIMMIE SHEPARD, age 41 from Centre, was arrested the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – on charges of the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Failure to Appear on prior charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 109 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
