CEDAR BLUFF – Cedar Bluff swept a pair of area basketball games with Jacksonville Christian on Friday evening. The Lady Tigers earned a 64-21 victory, while the Tiger boys took a 71-45 decision.
In the girls game, Kylie Vadon collected 27 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and two assists. Ciana Smith delivered 13 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and an assist. Hayden Cannon contributed 11 points, three rebounds and two steals.
In the boys game, Eli McFry made four 3-pointers and had 14 points to lead the Tigers. Daishaun Johnson and Carter Dillingham delivered 11 points apiece. Johnson also had three treys. Isaac Bishop added 10 points. Kadin Fife contributed eight points. Shon Gleen rang for seven points and Israel Morrison finished with five points.
Jesse Gannaway sank six 3-pointers and ended with a game-high 35 points for Jacksonville Christian. Bryson Dowdey and Noah Lee both finished with five points.
The two teams were tied at 10 at the end of the first quarter. Cedar Bluff took a 32-23 advantage heading into halftime and built a 57-32 advantage after three quarters.
