Mrs. Sandra Elaine Parker, age 77, of Centre, AL, passed away on August 13, 2026 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Centre First United Methodist Church in the Edge Building, with Rev. Chris Cone officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. time of service. Pallbearers will include: Brad Roberts, Caleb Courtney, Michael Robison, Josh Parker, Kyle Parker, Devon Laney, and Shane Noles.
Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She and her husband, Jerry, shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. Sandra was known for always putting others before herself and spreading kindness in every way she could. Her caring heart and generous spirit touched the lives of many.
Sandra was also deeply involved in her church, where she enjoyed Bible study, choir, and many other activities. Her faith and love for others were an important part of her life.
Above all, Sandra cherished her grandchildren and was always proud of them and their accomplishments. She loved spending time with family and making memories with those she loved. Many days, Sandra and Jerry went down by the lake with their dog, Danny, enjoying the fresh air.
Sandra was a woman who always kept busy, whether she was sewing, staying active, or lending a helping hand to someone in need. She had a special way of making others feel cared for and loved. To many, Sandra was one of the kindest and best people they had ever known, and her presence will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Richard Parker; son, Joshua Delane (Jeni) Parker; grandchildren, Kyle (Makayla) Parker and Jayde Parker; and special friend, Karine Parker.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Liza Suzanne Parker; her parents, Vitus and Velma Pyles; brothers, Rodney and Ernie Pyles; and sisters, Kay Smith and June Wright.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Family Cares Center.
