According to the Alabama State Troopers Post in Decatur, there was a fatality reported over the weekend in DeKalb County as the result of a two-vehicle collision.
The accident, which occurred at around 4:30 Sunday afternoon on County Road 44, claimed the life of 61 year old Jackie Junior Bowers of Collinsville.

A 2017 GMC Arcadia hit the 1998 Case tractor that he was standing near, which in turn caused the tractor to strike Bowers.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

County Road 44 is near County Road 446, approximately five miles east of Fyffe.
That incident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
