Missing Floyd County Woman’s Body Found

Armuchee Woman

A tragic end in the weeklong search for a missing Floyd County woman.

33-year old Angela Lynch Worsham was last seen on February 1st between 7:00 and 8:00pm, at the Food Lion on the Martha Berry Highway in Floyd County.

She had reportedly gone there to rent a movie before heading home, but she never arrived.

The family had been looking for her for the last week and then Saturday night they got the news no one wanted to hear.

Worsham’s vehicle was discovered submerged in Armuchee Creek off of Highway 27, north of Highway 156.

Floyd County Police Investigator Rusty Williams says when the vehicle was removed from the creek, they found Worsham’s body inside.

The investigation is ongoing and no further details have been released at this time.
