Gadsden State Cherokee will host “Lyrics on the Lawn” Thursday, July 25th in the front parking area of the campus.
This is the third in the series of FREE summer concerts being offered to the community, and will feature Katrina Barclay.
Concert goers are invited to bring lawn chairs and coolers, but no alcoholic beverages will be allowed. The venue opens at 6:00pm with the concert slated to begin at 6:30.
Barclay is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist from the northeast corner of Alabama with an amazing folk sound reminiscent of Norah Jones. Though she may be from a small town, her music has been hailed many times as “otherworldly.” She has a range of influences from rock-opera group, Queen, to Mariah Carey. Barclay loves interaction with her audience as much as the music itself. Striving to provide an authentic musical experience, she is a dynamic, fresh, original addition to the global community of independent musicians.
The final summer concert is scheduled for August 29th and will feature Ronnie Kisor & Friends – a local bluegrass/country band.
