A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:30pm – Sunday, December 3rd – has claimed the life of an Attalla man.

Michael P. Wise, 66, was fatally injured – when the 1988 Chevrolet C2500 truck that he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.  Wise wasn’t using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.   The crash occurred on Sand Valley Road, about 5 miles north of Attalla in Etowah County.

Nothing further is available at this time as Troopers of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
