CENTRE– A smoldering cotton module prompted a fire department response Saturday morning in the Garrett Bottoms area of County Road 20.
The module, built Monday, was smoldering when those picking it up discovered the problem. Center Fire Department responded to extinguish the smoldering cotton.
Firefighters then cut into the module to locate the source inside. Several other modules stood nearby, but no structures were in danger.
