On Monday of this week (March 2nd) – bail bonding agents went to a home on County Road 44 in Fyffe in search of a subject – when they noticed what appeared to be a meth lab.
Drug Task Force Agents were called to the scene, arriving with a search warrant.
A subsequent search of the residence turned up a one-pot meth lab, methamphetamine and the supplies necessary for making meth.
Two individuals – 35 year old Donald Lee Davis and 49 year old Fred Richard Swain both of Ft Payne – were arrested at the scene. Davis was charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – and with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Swain was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Both were transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center where they remain awaiting setting of bond.
