UPDATE| Two Injured In A Two Vehicle Accident In Cedar Bluff

Two people were injured in a two vehicle head on collision early Friday afternoon on Highway 9 North in Cedar Bluff.

According to Cedar Bluff Police Chief Chris O’Neal the accident involved a 2015 Chevy Tahoe being driven by Susan Randall of Rome, Randall was taken via EMS ground units to Floyd Medical Center in Rome. The second vehicle involved was a Honda Odyssey van driven by Sharon Manney of Gaylesville. She was taken from the scene and airlifted by Survival Flight to an area trauma center after having to be extricated from the vehicle by rescue squad personnel.  

Cedar Bluff Police, Cedar Bluff Fire, Cherokee County Rescue personnel, Floyd EMS and Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene with assistance provided by a Survival Flight Medical Helicopter.
