Phillip Wayne Pledger, Sr., age 72, of Centre, passed away Monday, November 2, 2026, at his residence. Mr. Pledger was a member of Benedict Baptist Church and worked for Goodyear for many years. He enjoyed fishing, beekeeping, woodworking, and spending time outdoors. He found joy in the simple things in life and will be remembered for the memories he made with his family and friends. He is survived by his son, Phillip Pledger, Jr. (Lisa); daughters, April Kelly (Adam) and Amanda Womack (Jamie); and grandchildren, Ben Kelly, Addison Womack, and Evan Womack. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake Pledger and Dorothy Doegg Pledger; his spouse, Sherry Bachelor Pledger; his brother, Larry Pledger; his sisters, Wanda Pledger and Judy Gilmore; and his grandchild, Avery Brantley. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Brian Crisp officiating. Burial will follow in Old Nazareth Baptist Church Cemetery.
