Summerville Man Sentenced to Prison After Targeting 12 Year Old on Facebook

CCSO - Galloway, Roger DaleA 37 year old Summerville Georgia man has been sentenced to a prison term of eight years – that, after admitting that he tried to arrange a meeting with a 12 year old girl for sexual purposes.

Roger Dale Galloway targeted the girl on Facebook, and he began exchanging messages with her – messages which quickly became sexual in nature on Galloway’s part.

The girl’s mother reported the incident to authorities, and Chattooga County Deputy Dexter Reed reported that he had witnessed several of those inappropriate messages.

After being taken into custody Galloway pled guilty to enticing a child for indecent purposes and criminal attempt to commit child molestation. 

In addition to the eight year prison term, Galloway will be on probation for a period of 22 years, and will not be allowed to Facebook or any other social networking site.
