GROVE OAK– Three people face drug charges after DeKalb County investigators executed search warrants at two Grove Oak residences Tuesday.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said agents seized methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of U.S. currency during the investigation.
Members of the DeKalb County Drugs and Major Crimes Unit first searched a residence at 4778 County Road 429. The agency identified the home as the residence of 66-year-old Bobbi Joe Moore.
Investigators said Stephen Dale Guffey, 56, of Grove Oak, and Colton Blake Guffey, 32, of Fyffe, were also at the residence.
Agents reported finding methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and currency at the home.
Investigators later searched Stephen Guffey’s residence at 2575 County Road 19. The Sheriff’s Office said agents recovered a large amount of methamphetamine and marijuana there.
Charges Filed
Authorities charged Moore with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stephen Guffey faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Colton Guffey faces charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also placed on hold for the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office on outstanding warrants.
The Sheriff’s Office said Moore had previously been arrested following a narcotics search in December 2025. Officials said Moore was out on bond on a drug-trafficking charge when Tuesday’s search occurred.
DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden thanked the investigators involved in the case. He said illegal drugs damage families and often contribute to other criminal activity.
Welden said his office remains committed to protecting DeKalb County residents.
