
ANNISTON– The Anniston Police Department is recognizing Captain Brian Brockman for reaching 20 years of service with the department.
Brockman has served in several roles throughout his career at APD. His assignments have included field training officer, case investigator, patrol sergeant, and lieutenant over the Special Operations Division.
He now serves as captain of the Uniform Patrol Division, the department’s largest division. APD describes uniform patrol as the backbone of the department. Brockman received his promotion to captain May 1. (Anniston Al Government)
In his current role, Brockman leads the officers who provide front-line police services throughout Anniston. Those duties include responding to calls, patrolling neighborhoods, enforcing traffic laws, and assisting residents.
His career has included officer training, criminal investigations, patrol supervision, special operations, and command-level leadership.
The department thanked Brockman for his dedication to APD and the Anniston community.
“Thank you, sir, for your dedication and commitment to this department and the citizens we serve,” the department said in announcing the milestone.
APD’s recognition marks two decades of service by an officer who has worked across several areas of the department while taking on increasing leadership responsibilities.
