In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

David Jones, age 21 of Nauvoo, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brenda Bishop, age 55 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the illegal possession of prescription pills, and for failure to appear on four previous charges.

Jonathan Curtis, age 41 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department on charges of the possession of a controlled substance and the possession of drug paraphernalia.

April Elders, age 41 of Weaver, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 94 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
