In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Anna Cook, age 19 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of public intoxication.

Matthew Sims, age 33 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Charles Howard, age 51 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on charges of break-enter a motor vehicle and 3rd degree burglary.

Jose Juan, age 27 of an unknown address, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of driving under the influence.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 93 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
