In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Zacary Smith, age 44 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Justin Thompson, age 36 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on two previous charges.

Natasha Slaton, age 37 of Fort Payne, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 3rd degree promoting prison contraband and for failure to appear on six previous charges.

Robert Bettis, age 45 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of two counts of 2nd degree receiving stolen property.

Kansas Robinson, age 43 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on a charge of 3rd degree burglary.

April Surrett, age 46 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of 4th degree theft of property.

Evan Lewis, age 34 of Rome, Georgia, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on charges of two counts of 2nd degree bail jumping.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 87 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
