Gadsden City Schools to Operate on Delayed Schedule Monday Due to Cold Temperatures

GADSDEN — Gadsden City Schools will operate on a delayed schedule Monday due to extremely cold temperatures, school officials announced.
All schools in the district will begin classes at 9 a.m. Monday. School buses will begin running their routes at 7:45 a.m. to accommodate the delayed start.
Officials said the decision was made to help ensure the safety of students and staff during the morning hours. No other schedule changes were announced.
Parents and students are encouraged to monitor official Gadsden City Schools communication channels for any additional updates.
As of the time of publishing, this is the only delay in the WEIS listening area we are aware of.
