Anniston Police Continue Multiple Investigations; Several Arrests Made in Connection with Shooting and Drug Cases

Anniston-The Anniston Police Department (APD) continues to actively investigate a series of incidents from earlier this year involving residences and vehicles that were struck by gunfire, according to information released by the department as a follow-up to an April 8, 2026, public statement. Officials said the investigations remain a top priority as detectives work to identify and hold those responsible accountable.


On April 23, 2026, the Anniston Police Department Investigative Division executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of Champaign Avenue in Anniston, with assistance from APD patrol officers and investigators from the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit.
During the search, investigators seized an AK-style rifle, approximately 2.38 pounds of suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Following the execution of the warrant and subsequent investigation, the Calhoun County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and issued warrants for three individuals: Kamari McClellan (20) of Anniston, Maurice McClellan (40) of Anniston, and Anjelica Olivera (38) of Anniston.
Kamari McClellan was arrested on April 23, 2026, and charged with one count of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle or Building, one count of Discharging a Firearm into an Unoccupied Vehicle or Building, and Trafficking in Cannabis.
On April 24, 2026, Anniston police officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested Maurice McClellan and Anjelica Olivera on active warrants. During the stop, officers recovered an AR-style pistol from the vehicle. Maurice McClellan was charged with two counts of Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, one count of Trafficking in Cannabis, and one count of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree. Anjelica Olivera was charged with one count of Trafficking in Cannabis.
In a separate incident on April 25, 2026, APD patrol officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 21st Street and Noble Street for a traffic violation. During the encounter, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle.
The search led to the recovery of two handguns, approximately 45 grams of suspected marijuana, and a large sum of U.S. currency.
As a result, the following individuals were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree: Prince Williams (25) of Anniston, Calen Good (33) of Bremerton, Washington, Camron Good (32) of Birmingham, Alabama, and Kyesha Williams (30) of Anniston.
Police said the investigations are ongoing and additional charges are possible as new information develops.
Authorities emphasized that violent and drug-related crime will not be tolerated in the City of Anniston.

“The Anniston Police Department will continue to aggressively pursue those who choose to endanger our community,” the department stated.
APD also expressed appreciation to its regional partners, including the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit and the Calhoun County District Attorney’s Office, for their assistance in the investigations.
