CENTRE– The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office recorded 482 calls for service during August. According to the agency’s monthly statistics, deputies also logged 37,584 total miles patrolled.
During the month, deputies served 209 civil papers and made 98 civil attempts. They also served 79 warrants, completed 94 incident or offense reports, and made 32 warrantless arrests.
In addition, the report listed 612 trip miles.
“The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is committed to servicing nearly 600 square miles of land and water in efforts to improve quality of life and keep all citizens safe,” Sheriff Jeff Shaver said.
The sheriff’s office also thanked the community for its support and recognized deputies for their continued hard work and dedication.
