GLENCOE – The Cherokee County Warriors qualified for the Class 4A golf sub-state round after placing third at the Class 4A, Section 3 tournament at Silver Lakes on Monday. The Warriors shot a team score of 329.

Alexandria topped the field with a 312. White Plains was second with a 321. Westbrook Christian came in fourth with a 331.

Sam Dreps shot 79 to lead the Warriors, followed by Asher Ellis’s 80. Aiden Whitefield shot 83 and Jack Davis came in with an 87.

Dirk Wright didn’t qualify as an individual, but shot a round of 84.

The sub-state round is Monday, May 5 at Blackberry Trail Golf Course in Florence.
