RAINSVILLE – The Collinsville Lady Panthers split a pair of softball games in the Plainview Spring Classic Tournament on Friday. They edged Sand Rock 7-6 and fell to Pisgah 6-0.
In the win over Sand Rock, Maelee Barkley tripled and scored a run. Jemma Smith doubled, walked and drove in a pair of runs. Lexii Burt also doubled. Carlee Davis delivered a hit, two walks, a run and two RBIs. Aubrey Reeves contributed a hit, two runs and a RBI. Gabriella Whitmore collecteed a hit, a walk, a run and a RBI.
Ella Coker walked and scored a run. Bella Wills walked and Brayleigh Smith scored a run.
Barkley earned the win after working all seven innings. She allowed three earned runs on eight hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
In the loss to Collinsville, Pisgah scored all six of its runs in the top of the third inning.
Burt led the Lady Panthers at the plate by going 2-for-3. Reeves, Jemma Smith, Davis and Whitmore each contributed a hit. Reeves. Barkley and Davis each drew a walk.
Brayleigh Smith tossed 3 2/3 innings and gave up an earned run on seven hits with two walks and a strikeout. Jemma Smith worked 2 1/3 innings and allowed just two hits with four strikeouts.
