Cedar Bluff goes 2-2 at Wellborn Volleyball Tournament

ANNISTON – The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers went 2-2 in the Wellborn Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.

In pool play, the Lady Tigers lost to Jacksonville Christian (14-25, 17-25), defeated Wellborn (25-4, 25-7) and defeated Victory Christian (25-21, 25-17). In bracket play, Cedar Bluff fell to Piedmont (23-25, 20-25).

In the loss to Jacksonville Christian, Paityn Walker contributed four kills and an assist. Marlee Timm tallied three aces, two kills and an assist. Vana Martin posted six digs.

Cece Davis delivered four kills, two digs. Piper Cromer came away with a kill and a dig. Jakirah Brown posted two digs and Makayla Kimmons finished with a dig.

In the win over Wellborn, Walker managed seven kills, three digs, three aces and a block. Timm collected four assists, four aces, two kills and two digs. Martin managed six digs, two aces and a kill. Davis posted six digs, three kills, one ace. Kimmons came away with two digs.

In the win over Victory Christian, Walker accumulated eight kills, four digs, three assists and three aces. Timm added six assists, five digs and an ace. Martin delivered 11 digs, two aces and an assist.

Davis contributed five digs, three kills and two aces. Cromer had three kills and three digs. Jakirah Brown tallied two digs and a kill. Kimmons came away with six digs and a kill. Jahleigh Dodd finished with a pair of digs.

In the loss to Piedmont, Walker collected five kills, three digs, two assists and an ace. Timm contributed five digs, three assists and two kills. Martin posted 16 digs and an ace.

Davis had a kill and a dig. Cromer managed three digs and an ace. Horton managed five digs and three kills. Kimmons posted five digs. Brown finished with a kill.
